The Foundation is the third studio album by the Zac Brown Band, an American country music band. It was released on November 18, 2008. Originally slated for release on the Home Grown/Big Picture label, the album is distributed by Atlantic Records in association with those two labels.
The first single from the album, "Chicken Fried," was released on June 2008. This song was originally recorded in 2006 by The Lost Trailers, whose version was withdrawn as a single. The Zac Brown Band previously recorded this song on their 2005 album Home Grown. The Lost Trailers' guitarist Stokes Nielson co-wrote "Different Kind of Fine". "Jolene" is a cover of a song originally recorded by Ray LaMontagne on his 2004 album Trouble.
