Night Visions is the debut album by Las Vegas rock band Imagine Dragons. It was released on September 4, 2012 in the United States via Interscope Records and KIDinaKORNER Records. It was recorded at Studio X and Westlake Recording Studios. All songs were written by Imagine Dragons and produced by Grammy-winning producer Alex da Kid. All songs were mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Manny Marroquin and Grammy-nominated engineer Mark Needham except track 7 and some of the bonus tracks. The album was mastered by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Joe LaPorta. The album reached #1 on the US iTunes charts, #2 on the Canada iTunes charts, and #1 on Amazon.com the day of release. The band released a debut EP in February entitled Continued Silence which charted on the Billboard 200.
The album was listed on Billboard magazine's "125 Essential Fall Albums".
"Night Visions" has received generally positive reviews from critics, most of them praising "how addictive some of the tracks on the album are" and the "strong vocals of lead singer, Dan Reynolds". On the negative side, a few critics mention the way the album sounds "too polished" and that "it can be messy at times".
