Evanescence EP is the first EP from the rock band Evanescence. It was released by Amy Lee and Ben Moody at a concert in 1998.
The CD-R has four black 'E's printed on it and is sometimes signed by Lee and Moody. Like the Sound Asleep EP, it is very rare: only 100 copies were made.
The cover features the sculpture Angel of Grief by William Wetmore Story, also found on the cover of Nightwish's Once and The Tea Party's The Edges of Twilight.
While the inserts on the EP are of low quality and are therefore often thought to be fake, they are not.
